Honda Passport Savannah, GAShopping for a stylish compact SUV can be a challenge when you start comparing all the different options available. However, one model that recently returned to the Honda lineup is worth your consideration. The Passport was a popular vehicle among buyers for years before it was discontinued, but Honda brought it back and made it even better than before.

Stylish Exterior

From the outside, the 2020 Honda Passport is quite stylish, making it an appealing choice for those who like to stand out on the road. The SUV boasts a large mesh front grille, sporty lighting, and a curved shape all the way around. Its standard exterior features include automatic LED headlights, dual exhaust finishers, LED brake lights and front fog lights, rear privacy glass, and power side mirrors with black accents.

As you move through the three higher trim levels, you can get exterior upgrades for your Passport. Some of these include auto-dimming, heated, and power-folding mirrors with integrated LED turn indicators, a power moonroof, walk-away auto-lock functionality, a hands-free power liftgate, and roof rails.

Class-Leading Interior Comfort

When it comes to space for passengers and cargo, the 2020 Passport leads the midsize SUV segment. Both rows of seating are very spacious, while the rear cargo area offers 41.2 cubic feet of space for your gear. If you fold the rear seats down, the cargo capacity increases to 77.9 cubic feet, which is more than you’ll get on most other comparable models. Even the base trim comes well-equipped with tri-zone automatic climate control, a seven-speaker sound system, a 5-inch central display screen, and cloth upholstery.

You can upgrade the Passport to include more appealing convenience and tech features as well. The EX-L trim adds heated and power front seats, smartphone integration, an 8-inch touch screen, and leather upholstery. With the top two trims, you also get heated rear seats, a premium 10-speaker sound system, and navigation, while a wireless smartphone charging pad is standard on the Elite trim.

Full Suite of Safety Features

All 2020 Honda Passport models come with the Honda Sensing safety package. This suite bundles forward collision warning with a collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, and a rearview camera. The upper three trim levels also tack on blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while front and rear parking sensors are available as an option.

Power and Performance

Beneath the hood of the Passport, you’ll find a capable 3.5-liter V-6 engine that puts out 262 pound-feet of torque and 280 horsepower. It’s matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission and delivers quick, effective acceleration and power when you need it. Front-wheel drive is standard on all but the top trim, which comes with all-wheel drive. You can add Honda’s AWD system to any of the other three trims as an option as well.
